When I walked into chapel yesterday there were photos and statues of all kinds of different saints to remind us of spiritual genealogy on the Solemnity of All Saints; I felt like I walked into the dining room table of my family home – and I had! And today we each brought photos of deceased family members and friends to display next to photos of our deceased community members in front of the altar as we celebrate and give thanks for their lives. We are who we are because of those who have gone before us and shown us the way of faith. The whole communion of saints are our family. So whose shoulders do you stand on? Take a moment to give thanks for them.
