Retreat House
Our retreat house, La Foresta, is named for one of the special places that St. Francis often visited for solitude and prayer. We are blessed to have this lovely house of prayer, which we make available so that others can enjoy a time of contemplative silence and solitude.
The house is nestled among the trees on our monastery property. It has three guest rooms, two and a-half baths, a completely furnished kitchen, a great room, and two patios. In this comfortable and peaceful environment, retreatants have the opportunity to:
- Meditate on Scripture
- Attend Eucharist and the Liturgy of the Hours with the Poor Clare nuns
- Spend time in personal prayer and reflection
- Enjoy the healing power of nature
- Journal, read, and rest
- Receive spiritual direction if they wish
We offer this as an ecumenical retreat house, open to individuals for private retreats.
